I love to try new techniques for crafting. I am constantly searching for new ideas, new products, and new tools. One of my favorite places for new projects and inspiration is Heidi Swapp's "Create To Remember" show on
My Craft Channel. Today I put on my "big girl panties" and tried the project Heidi offers us in Season 3, episode 1;
The Wax Album In this episode, she teaches us to use candle wax, a paintbrush, tissue paper, our printers, and chipboard to make a great album! I watched the video twice to make sure I had the technique straight in my head, then I just went with it. I used the free printables that Heidi offered us on her blog, but I also added a few others that I found on Google Images. Once it was all finished, I decided that I liked it so much, I am not going to use it as an album cover, but will hang it in my craft room as a wall hanging. I love it the way it is now, but I may add a few embellishments later on. I hope you enjoy. And if you haven't done so already, I encourage you to watch this video and try this fun, easy technique!
Now, to go try out my new Stampin' Up! products that just came in... I'll be making treat cup cards! And of course, trying out a few more of Heidi Swapp's projects! Love her site and blog!
