It's that wonderful time of year again, Easter! This week, over at Cooking With Cricut we have a great challenge going on. It's everything Easter!!! We would love to have you join in on the fun. And while you're at it, "Hop" on over to Paper Crafting World and pick up some super-cute digi stamps and cut files.
Here is my "hodge podge" of Easter items for this week's challenge.
The first is an Easter bucket decorated for my grand daughter, Amelia. I used Create-a-Critter for all the cuts.
The second item is a box card I made for my parents. I did not use any Cricut cuts for the card, however, inside are 3 Easter egg magnets that I made from the From My Kitchen cartridge. I used those cheap little advertisement magnets that come on the front of the phone books, cut them out on the Cricut, then cut the cardstock out on the Cricut and Mod Podged them together.
The third item is a card I made for a friend which does not feature any Cricut cuts, but I wanted to share. lol (this was my first time trying Iris Folding)
The fourth item is a pair of candy cones, which I made from the circle cut on the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. I cut a "pie wedge" out of each, then applied tissue paper to the inside of the top edge, then rolled them together and stuck them down with sticky strip. Filled them with candy and tied them up with a piece of ribbon. The fifth item is a pair of "sour cream" candy pods. These were made from a 6 inch square cut from Plantin' Schoolbook. The rosettes were made with a strip and a score pal. They are filled with candy and closed with sticky strip.
This is a shot of the inside of the sour cream pods.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, and encourage you to join our fun little challenge. Who knows, you could just be this weeks winner!
Happy Crafting! and of course, Happy Easter to you and yours!
